she sells a video that is an interview she did with Mrs. Waite, which followed a Bible conference where a lot of pastors supposedly gathered to listen to this
woman teacher rip apart the word of God. As you can see on the product page, she states that Maurice Robinson had been there and was "defeated" by
hearing her defend the KJV. Can anyone verify if Robinson was really there? And is there any evidence, other than GAR's own questionable claims, that
Robinson was "defeated"? And by what evidence does she claim he was? Thanks!

Arm: Can anyone verify if Robinson was really there?
This topic was actually discussed earlier: http://bibleversiondiscussionboard.yuku.com/topic/4192 Yes, Dr. Robinson was there. Neither he nor his students who were present said a word. Rippy's CDs at this session are just under two hours long. She interacted with the Majority Text for 2.5 minutes. She never mentioned Dr. Robinson's name. She referred to Hodges and Farstad and their text. She kept calling Hodges & Farstad "Hodge & Farmsted." She also had trouble pronouncing Marcion. Her pronounciation sounded like the man who invented the radio "Marconi" without the last syllable. She also cannot get the info on her website correct. The co-editor is Pierpont (not Pierpoint). Robinson is not a "new version editor." She has this bold and in red. The description on her website is completely inaccurate to say the least.

Thanks, Ken! She constantly refers to them as "Hodge and Farmsted" in her other videos, too. Oh, how it grates on the nerves. She pronounces Marcion
as Mar-cone, in every audio I've heard. She also refers to John Chrysostom as "Chrissa-zome" THREE times in one church lecture video:
"Chrissa-zome said..." Hilarious.

I just wanted to add something I found as I was looking over one of the video transcripts I typed up for a GAR lecture: "But that monk said...in
the 1700s when Tischendorf and Trigelles and all these people were unearthing...ah, the Sinaiticus manuscripts, so-called [makes quotation sign]
'discovering' it, this monk said he just wrote it, ok?"
Umm, didn't Tischendorf discover Sinaiticus in the 1800s?? She gets away with this because she goes to people who don't have a clue and who are not going to check the facts. Thus, she just keeps getting away with it...almost 17 years later.

Add to GAR's = Mrs Malaprop's misrenunciation of names the following tidbit from a real
"scholar":
D. A. Waite's minister-in-waiteing, H. D. Williams, who in his supposedly "scholarly" works refers more than once to Westcott and Hort as "Westcoot and Hurt." The difference? Williams knows exactly what he is doing (sarcastic non-scholarly ad hominem), while GAR hasn't got a clue.....
