James Sightler is one of Waite's leading Burgon Society members, having spoken before the Society many times, as well as attending and being cheerfully welcomed at even the most recent Waite meetings in SC.

Therefore, Sightler (theoretically) should be opposing KJVOism of the Riplinger/Ruckman "inspired KJV" variety (to do otherwise supposedly would get you expelled from the Burgon Society, and has done so for others in the past).
Yet one now finds Sightler wholeheartedly endorsing GAR's proven error-filled HazMat volume as "an admirable extension of New Age Bible Versions and In Awe of Thy Word":
"I am happy to give my complete endorsement to Dr. Gail Riplinger's new book Hazardous Materials, Greek and Hebrew Study Dangers, The Voice of Strangers."

The remainder of Sightler's comments that follow amount to nothing more than a summary of contents and discussion by GAR in HazMat, repeating even some of the lies and falsehoods already documented on the BVDB in the "Falsehoods of Hazmat" thread (e.g., that Ginsburg was " a mystical kabbalist admirer of Madame Blavatsky") -- a level of embarrassment that one would theoretically want to avoid, you would think!).
He further continues with GAR's peculiar claim that "some of the 'originals' may not have been in Greek," as well as endorsing GAR's final chapter of HazMat which "gives seven great proofs of the inspiration of the King James Bible with which any believer should agree and which I endorse" -- including Mr Verbally Nasty Filipino's great "mathematical proof" discussed elsewhere on the BVDB!
Sightler concludes, "It is good that this book is now on the record, and it is well worth the time and diligence of any reader who is interested in the truth."
Whatta crock!
And one really must wonder how this endorsement will play out within the Burgon Society (of which Sightler is a respected member, and even formerly if not currently on the DBS Executive Board!), given that Society member Kirk DiVietro has been given the assignment by Waite to write a lengthy refutation of Riplinger's HazMat volume!
Waite: "Dr. James Sightler, has been a personal friend of mine for almost ten years. The son of a godly Bible expositor and Pastor, Dr. Harold Sightler, he is truly a humble servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. Since 1990, he has served our DEAN BURGON SOCIETY as a valued member of the Executive Committee." <http://www.fbinstitute.co...ghtler/endorsed.html>
Time for Burgon Society fireworks, methinks....
