Riplinger boasts about her language skills on page 650 of HazMat.
"I suspect God wanted to expose Scrivener, as almost fifty years ago he [sic] gave me a private Latin tutor; for the last 50 years he [sic] has kindly surrounded me in a world of wall to wall antique and modern reference books."
KW: Euthy was right; she received training in Latin as a 13 year-old. I wonder what Scrivener would have thought now that he has been exposed?
She reveals her superior study habits as well on page 42 of HazMat.
"For the last 22 years I have been examining such materials -uninterrupted- for at least 8 hours a day. No Greek professor or translator has had that latitude. I began at the age of 13 with a private tutor of classical language. By the time I was 18, I was hired to teach English to Greek-speaking immigrants. For over 30 years I have waded through thorny Greek briars to rescue tangled sheep, brought near the precipice of unbelief by Greek and Hebrew study tools. There is nothing about the Greek New Testament that I did not see before most of my critics were born, as I am now in my sixties."
The absurdity of this statement leaves me speechless.
