You'd have to have some pretty captivating things to say for me to watch even two minutes of monologue video, much less a whole hour!
You're just wasting bandwidth by imbedding these videos. If you have something to say, go ahead and try to say it using the printed word. The BB is a format for discussion. |

I agree. This forum is not intended to be a blog site. Messiahist, I recommend blogger.com or similar.

So if The Messiahist is against the Trinity, and he's against Oneness, how many persons are in the Godhead, anyway?

Messiahist, why not just concern yourself with preaching the Bible, instead of trying to prove others wrong. If you speak the truth, then their lies will be
exposed, but you do not need to discuss their doctrine, just discuss Bible doctrine. I admit I should follow my own advice sometimes. Here is my take.
Jesus is the Son of man, and the Son of God, born of the Holy Ghost. The Son of man is the temple of the Son of God, concieved of the Holy Ghost. He is the Word who took on a body prepared by his Father by the power of his Word and the Holy Ghost. The reason Christ calls God his Father is because that body was concieved of God. The reason he said he beheld the fall of Satan is because the Word is the one who indwells that temple, and the one who spoke every word that he spoke. Jesus is three in one, just as every other man is, only his body is the Church, his soul is the Father, and his spirit is the Holy Ghost (the seven Spirits of God), which are in the Father, the one who speaks the Word that is accomplished by the Spirit of God. Make sense??? I didn't think so..... don't mind such high things and just believe the Bible for we look through a glass darkly. "Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me." Psalms 131:1 |

77: Physician, heal thyself!
"Truly, good Christian reader, we never thought from the beginning, that we should need to make a new Translation, nor yet to make of a bad one of a good
one ... but to make a good one better, or out of many good ones, one principle good one, not justly to be expected against; that hath been our endeavor, that
our mark."

"Jesus is three in one, just as every other man is, only his body is the Church, his soul is the Father, and his spirit is the Holy Ghost"
Then what was his physical body? What did Thomas touch?

Thomas touched the resurrected Lord, which is the word of life, or the engrafted word. He touched it by faith, in obedience to the Word. He laid hold of
eternal life (which is to do the will of God), for spiritually he was of that body as well. You are saying that the Church is not the body of Christ????

This train wreck ought to be printed in bright colours on big posters along with the warning, "This is why God gave learned men to the Church and you should pay attention in Sunday school." Who wants to play Spot the Heresy? I counted two on first reading: Adoptionism and Modalism. Anyone else want to take a stab?

Armchair Scholar wrote:"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God." John 1:1,2. verse 14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." Never denied that he is the Word. You just lack understanding, but that's ok Armchair, hold fast that which you have. Only get more understanding, lest the Lord take that which you have. |

So when lone-ranger Pope Jerry who is anointed disagrees with someone else who is anointed, are both opposing positions the Truth? Is Jerry using 1 John 2:27
to claim infallibility?

You have no anointing, Jerry. You have your own fallible understanding of the Bible, coupled with an arrogant refusal to listen to the wisdom of the teachers
God has given the church down through the centuries to the present day. That is a dangerous combination. Be careful that you do not wrest the Scriptures to
your own destruction (2 Peter 3:16).

Jerry said "Only get more understanding"
Translation from Jerryism: "don't actually study anything (those nasty edyoomakayshunned folks are fallible liars), but just make it up as you go - but remember if you come to a different conclusion that mine (which changes and contradicts itself from moment to moment) then you did it wrong and are deceived"

BrianT wrote: No, if a son of God heard me teaching false doctrine, he would show me with Scripture and not the understanding of men, the understanding of the world. The Truth does not oppose itself, one of us is of the Truth, the other is not. You refuse to turn to Scripture, but you twist it to fit your understanding as the world does, and you make it contradict itself. The Son of God within me is infallible, and what he tells me in secret, I will shout to the world as he commanded me to. |
