Many scholarly sources believe that the original pronunciation of God's name,
has probably been lost,
but that it is probably "Yahweh".
However no evidence from any extant Hebrew manuscript is ever presented as evidence.
Evidence from the writings of Clement of Alexandria is presented. [i.e. Iaoue=Yahweh]
Evidence from the Samaritans is presented. [i.e. IaBe =Yahveh]
The same Greek IaBe is also presented possibly from a non-Samaritan Source.
However isn't it strange
that no Hebrew Scholar ever goes on TV with an extant Hebrew manuscript in his hand,
or possible with quality photos of an extant Hebrew manuscript in his hand.
and points to the Hebrew Letters Y-A-H-W-E-H.
Of cource if a Hebrew Scholar actually did same ,
it would seem to indicate that some unknown Masoretic Text,
written in the first Millenium must have just been discovered.
It doesn't seem that any newly discovered consonantal text
would provide any absolute proof that God's name was "Yahweh".
Are Jewish people and Christians all going to remain in the dark
until the second coming of the Messiah.
Or maybe a new council of the church may be called
and will declare that God's name is "Yahweh"
in spite of the lack of any Hebrew Evidence.
Then there is a possible long shot.
The Jewish people suddenly acknowledge that Jehovah is actually God's Name,
AND
THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE NAME NEVER ACTUALLY DISAPPEARED.
AND THEN
all sorts of hidden knowledge from Jewish sources
starts to be presented as new evidence in support of Jehovah.
Exodus
P.S.
Have I missed a more likely possibility?
