so, um, is it possible for Jews, ostensibly practising Jews, to be antisemitic?
and is it possible for Arabs/Palestinians, who are Semites also, to be antisemitic?

is this antisemitic, to say the Bible opposes today's State of Israel? |

the sermon begins around 3:12 ... "forbidden according to God and according to the Torah ... since the destruction of the Temple ... we are forbidden by
God to have our own entity, our own sovereignty."
so, um, is it possible for Jews, ostensibly practising Jews, to be antisemitic? and is it possible for Arabs/Palestinians, who are Semites also, to be antisemitic?

As I see it, the issue isn't really one of anti-semitism, but the fact that the modern definition of being "Jewish" can encompass quite a few
quite different things, even up to and including atheism.
The definition can certainly include aspects of Zionism and still be Jewish, and it can certainly also include anti-Zionist feeling and still be Jewish, so long as some other aspect of Jewishness is present. Ethnicity, several forms of religious belief and heritage all enter into the definition. |

amarillo: "so, um, is it possible for Jews, ostensibly practising Jews, to be antisemitic? 77: It would appear that it is possible for these Jews to be anti-Zionist. I would guess that they are about as welcome in Israel as a certain kind of white American is that advocates for giving all the land back to the Indians right now is here. As for the so-called Palestinians, given that they lob rockets into civilian neighborhoods, use their women, children, aged, and wounded as human shields, send their youths off on suicide bombing missions, take hostages and the like - yes, it is possible for the "Palestinians" to be antisemitic.

our mark."

The Bible is anti-man, for man is wicked. The Bible is anti-sinner, that includes anti-world, anti-semitic, anti-black, anti-white, and anti-anything else of
this world. We are of Christ, the Bible is pro-Christ, so have joy in that.

Like it or not, if you love the Truth, you will hate the world. Not because of any other reason than "Friendship of the world is enmity with God."
James 4:4. The world is in a great lie, to love the world is to love a lie.

Notice that the KJVOs and others of their ilk always seem to want to use Scripture to "scold" others.

SAWBONES wrote:I am not scolding anybody Sawbones. That reference to John 3:16-17 is true. However, God so loved---past tense. God has done all he will for the world in that he gave his only begotten Son. However, we are not God, and he told us not to love the world. "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him." 1 John 2:15 We are to love the brethren of Christ, those that hear his voice and follow. |

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute
you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and
on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye
more than others? do not even the publicans so?
And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

"the world" in those verses means the sinful ways of the world, not people. The next verses indicates what is being talked about: "For all that
is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away,
and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."

the world" in those verses means the sinful ways of the world, not people. By the sinful ways of the people, our living God, Christ Jesus cursed the generation of Adam (human race) or we could say the whole world to include every
living thing of this first creation.
The whole world is term in regard to natural man, spiritual dead in His trespasses and sin, without hope and without the Spirit of Christ. Those who have been born again by the Spirit of Christ, will not be deceived by the spirit of the anti Christ. They, as many that have been given the authority /power to become a new creation as the children of God, alone have passed from death to eternal life as a new creation, created in Christ, of Christ. As a result of Christ's work of faith, labor of Love the devil was cast out of heaven to continue his work of deceiving the whole world.
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
