Hi Folks,
Do these sources mention this important aspect of this papyrus ? "P46 abounds with scribal blunders, omissions, and also additions." - The Text of the Epistles: A Disquisition Upon the Corpus Paulinum - Gùˆnther Zuntz, p. 212 Apparently nobody likes to really translate such a manuscript directly, too many blunders. To the modern textcrits the blunders can be positive, allowing for more lectio difficilior possibilities. And some similarities with Vaticanus makes P46 a textcrit darling, one blunder text sister, or 3rd cousin, to another. On a more positive note, P46 does help affirm Hebrews being recognized as Scripture early in the NT canon. The 3rd century dating is one view, with a variety of dates offered, including the dubious ultra-early one by Kim. Shalom, Steven |

I guess I have to *gulp* agree with Avery here. A lot of fragments and such are not going to make it into a Greek NT edition because of copy blunders or they
reflect a very minority reading. But they are of great historical value.
