The 'nano-Bible' is written on a Silicon chip, which is so small that it is less than 1/1000th of an inch in size. How was it written? Using a focused ion beam (FIB) generator that shot tiny particles called Gallium ions onto a Gold surface covering a base layer of Silicone. How long did it take? The actual 'writing' of full text took just 90 minutes. Whereas the computer program that guided the FIB generator took over three months. Very very nearsighted people? Lilliputians? Microbes? Dancing angels? Seems like the biblical model should be to write the scriptures in very large letters, so that he may run who reads it..... Besides, its not a whole Bible anyway; just a 2/3 Bible. When they get the entire NT (in Greek) along with the OT (in Hebrew) that they already have, then we might talk.... The more Bibles there are, the better. Besides, I thought this tiny Bible was cool. Electronic Bibles that can be read in a small format would be easier to lug around than the current, old school paper-and-ink variety.

Electronic Bibles that can be read in a small format would be easier to lug around than the current, old school paper-and-ink variety. But who can read it at all -- that is the question! I have a complete English Bible (KJV I think) on a microcard, about the size of a business card. Came out about 10-12 years ago. I can't read a thing on it without a special (bulky) reader, which I wasn't dumb enough to spring for. But it sure it is easy to lug around and impress people with...which I suspect is exactly what the Technion people are hoping for in sales potential.

Otherwise this act is comparable to what we are not to do in Matthew 7:6 (casting pearls before swine).... Seems more like a desecration of the O T to me....

Nah, it's still neat-o, regardless of the size of my eye balls. I have never understood why some people (including Christians) are such Scrooges and kill-joys when it comes to stuff like this. It's just a fun thing. It's not hurting anyone, it's not hurting the Scriptures or anything, and people jump all over it and trash it and get negative about it.
