Of course no proof was cited for the claim, but I wonder whether there is any substance whatever to such a claim in relation to either Westcott or Hort (I certainly have never seen anything in all my reading of Westcott's or Hort's works).
On the other hand, the occultist William Wynne Westcott (whom Riplinger falsely claimed to be the same person as Brooke Foss Westcott) indeed was a Freemason (so Wikipedia).
I therefore conclude that such statements as that by "Soldier of Christ" simply are typical of how falsehood and error spreads directly from the nonsensical claims made by GAR, the "mistress of misinformation" herself -- rather than having any validity in substance.
