Instance of Jesuit devilry and error in the "inerrant KJV"
Here are some things I wrote recently to a forum, slightly edited, because it was posted in two rounds, but now in one to this forum. Names are altered. I post it here because of the lie of KJV Onlyites, and no lie is of the Truth, but of the Evil one. If you read through the whole carefully you will know why I use such strong language as "Jesuit devilry" and "semi-popery".

Folks. Rom. 4:24 seems to be teaching the necessity of faith for justification. But let me inform you of this in case you did not know it. The King James Version here mistranslates quite crucially. And it is deplorable to have to point out such a thing, especially when the version at hand is a good one and generally held in high esteem. But sometimes such has to be done for the sake of the truth.
First, "it shall be imputed" in the KJV is in the Textus Receptus "mellei logizesthai", two verbs in a row. The first is present active indicative of MELL, "to be about". The second is present passive infinitive of LOGIZOMAI, "to impute", "to reckon" etc. Thus literally it would be - "it is being about to be continually attributed".
Secondly, the KJV has an "if". The TR has no counterpart for it, none whatsoever. It was a wicked addition on the part of the Anglican scholars here, without any italics. And the "if" in conjunction with "believe" makes it look like the Greek has a verb, "to believe", in aorist subjunctive. But again the KJV is dishonest with Paul's inspired words. The TR has PISTEUOUSIN, present active participle, dative plural masculine, of "pisteu" - lit. "to believing ones". Thus, seeking in honesty before God to make a closest formal equivalence rendering of the wording of the TR, without leaving out any of the grammatical information it reads as follows
24 But rather also because of us, to whom it is being about to be continually attributed, [namely] to the ones believing on him having raised Jesus our *Lord from among dead ones,

In case you wonder why I rendered "to be continually attributed" I shall inform you that the tense is present, not aorist. If Paul had willed to stress a one time attributing or imputing he would have used the aorist, but now uses the present which stresses that the attributing is something which takes place oftentimes or continually.
Then, I will now quote a few literal formal equivalence versions which translate much more accurately and faithfully than the KJV.
