It is about Churches that twist God's Word in order to control people. In most cases on the surface these Churches are great, but try to question their views and watch out. Reminds me of the onlyist.

Has anyone ever heard of or read the book Twisted Scripture?

Amazon didn't list it, but Christian Book Distributors came up with this book. Is that the one you're thinking of?

I own a copy of "Twisted Scriptures" by Mary Alice Chrnalogar. It's about spiritual abuse within the discipleship movement, but a lot of what is in the book applies to many other spiritually manipulative situations. It's a good read.
Another book on the topic, one that I think describes more of KJVO tactics, is "The Subtle Power Of Spiritual Abuse" by Jeff Van Vonderen and David Johnson. I've seen every characteristic of spiritual abuse listed in this book in KJVO circles. |
