Frank Gaebelein, Exploring the Bible, Harper & Brothers, 1929, pg. 56
"Uninspired, it is mere literature; great and lofty though it be, it cannot speak with authority to the hungry soul of man. Inspired, it is God's Book and speaks, as did Christ, the Incarnatge Word, 'as one having authority and not as the scribes'. Therefore, it is a Book which is 'profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." Ibid. pg 56
"No translation is inspired." Textual Critic
Interpretation according to Gaebelein's statement above:
"All translations are mere literature, great and lofty though they be, they cannot speak with authority to the hungry soul of man."
