I happened upon your "little board" and after reading many of the posts couldn't help but notice your extreme interest in the KJV vs. Modern Versions club. Some of you went to far as to "copy" and "paste" some of the posts onto this board. If you are so interested in that club why not join and post over there instead of posting over here "behind their back" as it were? I am sure you would be welcome or maybe you prefer to stay over here and pat each other on the back as you talk about those posting in the KJV vs. Modern Versions club. Anyway, consider yourself invited. Oh, one last thing. I visited one of your moderators homepage and found something very interesting. Here is a quote from one of their pages, "Finally, I also like popular/"alternative" (read: mainstream) artists such as the INDIGO GIRLS, DIRE STRAITS, Jars of Clay, Fleming and John, Mark Heard, Steve Taylor, Enya, Larry Norman, Bruce Cockburn, PINK FLOYD, RUSH, LED ZEPPELIN, and AMY GRANT." I use to listen to the latter such groups BEFORE I got saved but when I got saved "old things past away". I now, as any true Christian shouldn't, have no tolerance for Rock Music as it dishonors God and everything that is righteous. But I see this individual has found a home here discussing the Bible versions all the while masquerading as a Christian. If you other moderators are truly Christians you will quickly remove this individual from being a moderator, as it brings a shame on your board. This individual needs to repent and get right with the God of the Bible before they start discussing which Bible one should use. And just who is this masquerader------Scott McClare! My mistake has been to be too nice to the folks who believe(or at least state they believe) that the AV is the ONLY valid English Bible version made since 1611. That is bunk. You know it,I know it,every user and reader here knows it. But yet,some people,even when faced with overwhelming evidence,still argue this impossible position,which defies history,and is contrary to all the acts of jesus concerning His words. I beg to differ with you on your opinion of rock music.What plausible objection can one have to such music that contains no vulgar,suggestive,or blasphemous lyrics? I suppose you now will attack M.C.Hammer,who accepted Jesus as Savior,and who now performs CHRISTIAN rap,just because someone made dirty songs in rap style? What's next? Dancing? Swimming? Enjoying sports?

You didn't sign your real name, or your Yahoo nickname. BTW, many that are on here are on over at the Yahoo club, most use a different nick. Don't be so quick to jump to wrong conclusions. Secondly, Jars of Clay, Steve Taylor, Amy Grant & Mark Heard are all Christians. Do you have something against Christians? Their "rock" music will reach more people for Christ than your hateful attitude ever will. Paul

And you base this on what? Their being conformed to this world? or perhaps their willful rebellion to God's word is what tells you they are supposedly Christian? Their "rock" music will reach more people for Christ than your hateful attitude ever will. Is there just something about sin haters that you do not like? If one cannot have a hateful attitude towards sin, but insteads compromises their integrity to be accepting of it. Is that same one showing obedience or disobedience to Gods commands? Your answer, will reveal what you feel about obedience to God.

You seem to forget we are all God's people. Read 2 Peter 3:9. God doesn't give up on people like you and your kjonly group. The groups/people I mentioned sing about Jesus. May I remind you that you like 4Him, a Christian Rock group. You also like movies like Total Recall, where is God in that. Don't try to oversanctify yourself Jim.

Excuse me, but there is only one perfect Christian to ever walk this earth, and that was Jesus. The rest of us-- including YOU and your fellow KJO cronies-- are imperfect like the rest of us. None of us will be 100% perfectly sanctified until we are with God one day. You are judging a man by what is on the outside (by what kind of clothes he or she wears, the sort of music they listen to, etc.) but GOD JUDGES PEOPLE BY WHAT IS IN THEIR HEART. is there just something about sin haters that you do not like? The problem is that many KJOs do not just "hate sin" but they apparently hate the sinner as well, and that is NOT the attitude that Jesus had or has. Jesus was harshest on the religious extremists of His day, e.g., the Pharisees (and modern day KJOs are nothing more than 21st century Pharisees), but showed the greatest support and sympathy for the sinners of His day-- and it should go without saying that most of you KJOs are exactly like the Pharisees who look at outward appearances more than actually obeying the spirit of the law, and Jesus said that among the greatest of these laws were loving other people, not judging them as you do (especially by man-made traiditions a la King James Onlyism) and as the Pharisees did. And how conveniently you zero in on all the Bible verses that talk about behvaior but over look passages such as Romans Ch. 14, or the spirit of the Bible, which is about forgiveness and love. Additionally, rejecting King James Onlyism, which is a man-made belief system, is not a sin. Whether or not Scott listens to Hank Williams Sr., Amy Grant, Marilyn Manson or whomever is totally beside the point and has nothing to do with the validity or truthfulness (or lack thereof) of your claims that the KJV is God's Only Perfectly Preserved Word in the English language. But of course, this is something that many KJOs cannot adequately defend, so they stoop to personal attack, questioning the spiritual standing of others, talk about our "fruit" and, as Scott noted, pick apart our personal webpages. If one cannot have a hateful attitude towards sin, but insteads compromises their integrity to be accepting of it. Precisely, which is why I reject heresies such as King James Onlyism because I won't compromise on my integrity!

Now, I am not saying anyone in here hates God. But with the rebellion against what God has instructed for us, it is clear that a good many people do not love God like they claim. This applies to those who are KJV only as well as those who are not.
