One of my favourite sites on the Web, the Schoenberg Center for Electronic Text and Image has a high-resolution facsimile of the 1611 AV.
Start reading here. Enjoy. Take care,

Scott,
Many thanks. Sorry for the double post - posted it here and then thought it probably belonged in the other forum. That link is great. One question for you on it - I can only get the initial page up for each book. Is that all that's there, or is there more? If more, how do I "turn the page?" Thanks, southpaw |

Nope. There really is the whole thing there. The navigation controls are in the top frame. Use the "Page" drop-down menu if you know specifically what page number you want to go to; the "Divisions" drop-down to choose the specific book you want; and finally the VCR-style controls just under that let you shuttle one page forward or backward (or to the start/finish). Also, if you click anywhere on a page, you can zoom in on that portion; or click the link for a "printable image" for a resolution in between. Obviously, SCETI is intended more for close study of the materials themselves, rather than casual reading. Take care,

Obviously something is wrong on my end. When the link you provided first loads, I see the "VCR Controls" at the top. When I select a book and click "Go," and the page loads (Genesis, for example), I see the first page of Genesis and at the top there is the option to link with another Bible version. That's it. I'll try to figure it out. If you have any ideas, I'd appreciate it.
THANKS for all the help. By the way, love your signature comments on moderating. Tough job. |
