Church Weekly for 17 May 2009
My dear readers,
1. Reformation means "Back to the Bible"
Without the BIBLE there would be no REFORMATION.
As promised in last week's pastoral, I am now writing on the VPP matter. Much has been spoken and written already. Why then some more? Simply because there are things still unsaid. VPP is bound up with the Reformation Bible, the KJV, the "CROWN JEWEL" of the Reformation, and bed-rock of victory of the English Reformation over "Mother Rome." To Rome the loss of England was simply intolerable. Her return to the fold was top priority. With it was the removal of the KJV.
Now you may wonder: where does "VPP" fit in? It was "Verbal Plenary Preservation" (God's divine hand perfectly preserving all His inspired words from error), that gave birth to the KJV. These were the OT Masoretic Text (MT) and NT Textus Receptus (TR).
These TEXTS made the KJV different from ALL the currently popular "Modern English Versions" such as NIV, RSV, NKJV, ESV, NASV, TEV, NEB, and others in common use. These latter versions - MEVs - are ALL derived from different source TEXTS: not the MT and TR of the KJV, but the Alexandrian Texts (Vaticanus and Sinaiticus) of Westcott and Hort which are tainted with omissions (Vaticanus - This codex omits many portions of Scripture vital to Christian doctrine. Vaticanus omits Genesis 1:1 through Genesis 46:28; Psalms 106 through 138; Matthew 16:2,3; Romans 16:24; the Pauline Pastoral Epistles; Revelation; and everything in Hebrews after 9:14.
It seems suspicious indeed that a MS possessed by the Roman Catholic church omits the portion of the book of Hebrews which exposes the 'mass'as totally useless).
We stand steadfast, unmoveable on the perfectly preserved WORD OF GOD, MT and TR underlying the KJV; we are opposed to the MEVs which were derived from CORRUPTED TEXTS.
"VPP" is God's instrument of preservation of the KJV and separation from the MEVs.
2. Why are the MEVs not welcome?
This is a spiritual matter, and spiritual matters must be spiritually discerned (1 Cor 2:14). The group of "Modern English Versions" are of a different spirit, serving another agenda. The original MEV, the English Revised Version of 1881 was the "firstfruit" of a movement to dethrone the KJV, the Reformation Bible. This was a "landmark success" of the Counter Reformation Movement which was quietly laying the groundwork for the return of England to the fold of Rome.
"Revisionism," master-minded by Westcott and Hort (two secret Rome sympathizers) scored its first success with the "revision of the KJV," a new translation with 36,000 changes to the English text of the KJV. It was a new Bible altogether, the English Revised Version of 1881 - the ERV.
As a result, the national treasure of England, the Authorised King James Bible, lost its unique and supreme position. The dike of "authorization" by the King was breached. Ever since 1881, it has been "free for all" to exploit the Bible translation market.
This was the golden opportunity for the "Back to Rome" schemers who flooded the market with MEVs in the 20th Century. The once supreme and exclusive KJV rapidly lost is exalted place. Today MEVs occupy "centre stage:" the "Back to Rome" movement is on the "fast track." This is the "end time" ecumenical movement, backed by MEVs of the Bible.
3. MEVs pave the way to Rome
Let me stress: we are not arguing about "understanding English" or "readability," which are but smokescreens, hiding the real issue. A "one-world" movement rolls along, gathering the people of the world into the "One World Church" under "Mother Church - Rome." This movement is prophetic and irresistible. Its global supremacy is predicted in God's Book.
English has evolved into the "lingua franca" or "common language" of the world - the dominant global - and Bible - language. Which Modern English Bible will be the "Global Bible?" Today it is an open question, but time will tell. It will likely be a new common ecumenical translation.
Here is the heart of the controversy. The KJV came out of the 16th Century supreme: it was received by England and the English-speaking peoples of the world as God's Word - translated from the VPP texts which were the inerrant, infallible, inspired words. The autographs are no more. Only apographs (texts) are left. There are two groups or families of apographs: the MT and TR; and the Alexandrian Texts of Westcott and Hort.
Only the MT and TR are perfectly preserved by "VPP." This separates them from the Alexandrian Texts, corrupt and unholy.
Do you now understand VPP? God help us.
Lovingly in the Lord
ok, i'll start off:
1. the NKJV certainly doesn't belong, as alleged, among these "latter versions - MEVs - ... ALL derived from different source TEXTS: not the MT and TR of the KJV, but the Alexandrian Texts."
