I get these kind of e-mails, too.

I wonder if the people who send these think that Christians are totally naive, idiotic saps who will actually mail them tear-stained checks.

BTW, after I skim over the first few lines and determine it's one of those scam messages, I don't usually even bother to read the rest. For one thing, they're so long!

I usually delete them, but I did save one. Here it is:

Lookee here: Two widows with lotsa money, virtually the same message, with only names and small details changed (some obviously inaccurately). An interesting test of source criticism analysis! Comparison made paragraph by paragraph to make it easy for everyone (also, try to locate the precise wording of the supposed Bible verses being quoted):
