John 18.36 omitting "now" ... nun

The NASB omits the word "now" in John 18.36, and I was wondering what the technical evidence for this omission is. In trying to piece together the reasons for the omission I haven't been able to find any evidence at all against the word. Of course it is in the TR, it is in the Majority Text, it is in the Vaticanus and in the Sinaiticus, it is found in the Vulgate. The KJV includes the word, as does the NIV. In my library, only the NASB and the NWT omit it. But neither of these...

I am wondering if anyone has indepth info on the difference between the KJV in 1 Tim 3:3 that elders be "not given to wine" and the NIV and NASB that has "not given to much wine". I don't drink myself anyway but want to know more of the difference between the versions on this issue.

I assume that "not much wine" is what is meant but not explicitly stated in the KJV but that may be interpreted as a watering down of the KJV for other versions. I'm just...

Unelss I misread or misunderstood, Bill R K in one post said that he's okay with the fact that the KJV underwent several revisions in the past, but in another post, said there is now no more need for the KJV to be revised.

Submitting to given bible

I often read KJVO Websites that say we are to submit to the bible we are given (which they say is the KJV for any english speaking person). However, what happens if someone was never given a KJV? I know many people that have been given an NIV or some other modern version from their church. That same bible is the only bible that they have read. Now, is it wrong for them to submit to the bible that they were given?

Does this arguement make sense?
